April 6th: We'll have a table of information on the lawn in front of the Unitarian Society (220 Main St. Northampton, MA) about war tax resistance and experts who can answer questions about tax resistance. There might even be some delicious goodies! **Inclement weather date: April 7th at 12pm**
April 18th: We'll have a table of information at the Brattleboro Food Co-op (2 Main St. Brattleboro, VT) about war tax resistance and experts who can answer questions about tax resistance. We will be at the 350Brattleboro's Earth Day Street Festival today at 4pm and we'll have lots of good information showing the many links between environmental destruction and the military/war. This promises to be a fun and family-friendly event with art, food, and music.
Once again we spent the day in front of the Brattleboro Food Co-op sharing information about how our taxes fund war. The weather was beautiful and the table was visited by a great cross section of people; some folks had heard of war tax resistance and for others the concept was brand new. There were questions about how a person could participate if they worked at a typical job where they filled out a W-2 or if they were a consultant whose clients submit 1099-NECs to the IRS. Anyone with similar questions can contact us directly ([email protected]) or check out the many terrific pamphlets created by NWTRCC.
